Emergency fostering might range from a single night emergency placement to a couple of nights while more permanent arrangements are made.
This type of care requires a lot of flexibility. For example, you may provide a home for a child at very short notice, as they may need emergency foster care quickly if their current environment is unsafe for them.
Often contacted without warning, being an emergency foster carer is about being able to adapt and be flexible in the face of challenging situations.
