Did you know that you can foster a parent and their baby?

P&C WEBP

Could you help a parent and child stay together and improve their future?

A Parent and Child foster placement allows parents to learn how to look after their baby with the help, support and encouragement of a foster carer. As the foster carer, your role is to support the parent(s) in looking after their baby. You wouldn’t provide hands-on care for the baby but help mentor the parent and improve their confidence.

Parent and Child Foster Carers

Life as Parent & Child foster carers

Dave and Lindzi from the Vale of Glamorgan understood the significance of a reliable support system when raising their own children. Years later, their life experience led them to foster and they now provide much-needed support to new parents who lack a support network. Dave and Lindzi had reservations when they first began fostering, but 4 years later they have no regrets:

“Initially we considered how it would impact our family, we have grown up children, but nothing has changed; your family just becomes bigger.”
