To all our Foster Carers and Staff

This time each year I always send a thank you message to all our staff and Foster Carers, thanking them for the difference they have made in the lives of children and young people, the way in which they have remained committed despite the challenges along the way. Well, this year everyone has certainly been tested to their limit! However, what has been amazing to see is the way in which our Foster Carers have continued to care and support children and young people to such a high standard.

Despite the levels of uncertainty, changing plans in relation to lockdown, education and seeing family, our Foster Carers have persevered and carried on. They have taken the time to reassure children in their care and support contact with birth family wherever possible. Our staff group have continued to do their job in supporting Foster Carers, the children and each other. I do not think I have ever been prouder – seeing what people are capable of but more importantly how caring people have been.

On behalf of the agency, I salute you and thank you for everything you have done. Foster Carers and staff, you are awesome. Despite the circumstances this year I would still like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year!
